Chapman Ranch became the name of what was originally King Ranch in 1926 and expanded to support multiple residents. One might think that the town is comprised of 3 side-by-side homes, a very large multi-business building now just a post office, 2 closed schools, and a cotton mill. However, several thousands of surrounding acres of ranch land are home to about 100 residents.
