Allamoore Texas

Allamoore has been tucked away in Southeast Hudspeth County since the 1908’s. However, the town didn’t get its name until the Acme post office closed and was reopened in 1888 with a postmistress named Alla Moore. Allamoore was never a large town; it still continues to primarily be a ranching area, although mining was briefly strong. Remains of the actual town include a couple residents along with a handful of abandoned homes and unused school. While the only nearby unpaved road does not appear to see much traffic, large gravel trucks do drive through at higher than expected speeds.Â
