After its founding in 1909, Bradshaw grew to about 450 residents in the 1920’s with several businesses. That population decreased to around 25 by the 1980’s in favor of nearby Abilene to the North. Approximately 60 people call the area home today, although signs of the former town are mostly limited to a handful of closed buildings.Â
